About The California Triathlon Network

About Us.  California Triathlon Network (CTN) is a 501(c)(3) community service group with a multisport habit.  CTN has 1,600 members and is affiliated with 35 triathlon clubs.  Membership in the CTN is free for both affiliated clubs and individuals.  To Join CTN.

Principle activities include:
  • Provide open-to-the-public educational opportunities on the skills necessary to swim, bike and run
  • Support "pay it forward" approach both within the sport and the communities we train & race
  • Share best practices from all over the state
  • Connect athletes to affiliated clubs
  • Host the Annual California Club Summit
  • Host the Annual Charity Club Challenge (Oct 6, 2013 @ TriEvents)

Purpose.
A principal purpose of the California Triathlon Network is to facilitate training to educate people on the benefits of a healthy, active lifestyle as well as creating opportunities to share best practices within the triathlon community

Racing.  Cal Tri partners with a creme of the crop list of race companies including:
  • Ironman (WTC)
  • Rock 'n' Roll, TriRock & Muddy Buddy (Competitor Group)
  • Tour of California, Rose Bowl 1/2 & LA Tri (Pacific Sports)
  • TriEvents & Charity Club Challenge (TriEvents)
  • Wildflower

Race Experience.  CTN supports the athletes race-day experience in a number of ways including:
  • Volunteer One, Get One (VOGO) opportunities
  • Conduct free race previews
  • Host social events around select races
  • Provide home stays for athletes
  • Emphasize races with member friendly terms & conditions
  • Highlight races that provide special youth specific benefits

Training.  California Triathlon’s calendar has a “Geo-Search” function.  Members are encouraged to organize and promote events on the calendar.  Any member can submit a training option and a Cal Tri “admin” will approve it to go on the calendar.

Support Providers.  The California Triathlon Network membership wants to extend our sincerest appreciation to our support providers.  These public-private partnerships are critical to California Triathlon's mission as a community service group with a multisport habit.
